About Us

A trade that runs like a real business.

George started GJB Group after years working for a commercial cleaning and FM company and then in a sales role for a high-end solar and LED company. Two different worlds, one common thread: the customer service from most trades companies was shocking compared to what he was used to.

So he built one that worked differently. A trades company with the professionalism of a larger business. The equipment to do the job properly. A team that turns up in uniform, on time, and finishes what they started. And above all, a company that’s easy to buy from. No silly forms to fill in. No hoops to jump through. Just a conversation, a clear quote, and a date in the diary. That was the idea. Six years later, it still is.

Started small. Stayed hungry.

The early days were small domestic jobs. Driveways, patios, the kind of work that builds a reputation one customer at a time. George can still remember the excitement of getting the first driveway quote accepted.

But the ambition was always bigger. The commercial knowledge was there from day one. The plan was to grow into larger contracts, and the route was simple: do the small jobs so well that the bigger ones come to you.

That’s exactly what happened. Existing customers recommended GJB to colleagues, friends, and businesses they worked with. Doors opened to jobs that would have seemed impossible in year one. Liverpool Airport. B&Q. Footballers’ homes. All from direct recommendations by people who’d seen the standard of work first-hand.

We’re trusted with those contracts because of the name we carry, and the name was built by every small job done right along the way.

An airport on Monday. A driveway on Tuesday.

We’re one of the few companies that can be cleaning an airport on a Monday and a small driveway on a Tuesday. The equipment handles both. The standards are the same for both. And the team treats both customers with the same attention.

There aren’t many companies that use our level of equipment for domestic work, which gives us a real edge over competitors. But we’re not too big for the small stuff and we’re not too small for the big stuff. We get equally excited when a domestic enquiry comes in as we do when a large commercial contract lands.

Not a list on a wall. How the team actually operates.

The phone gets answered.

George’s direct number goes to existing customers. If he’s by the pool on holiday and a customer rings, the phone gets picked up. Everything stops for a customer. That attitude runs through the whole team.

We turn up when we say.

Uniformed, equipped, on time. Not close to on time. On time. In an industry where turning up is treated as a bonus, we treat it as the baseline.

Busy is a blessing, not an excuse.

George’s pet hate is trades companies that get busy and get lazy. Not returning calls, telling people they’re too busy. There was a time when he dreamed of having that much work. If it means staying in the office later to sort everything out, that’s no problem at all.

Everyone sings from the same hymn sheet.

In-house operatives. Uniformed. Trained to the same standard. The people on your site work for GJB Group and operate the way George built the company to operate. No subcontractors, no agency staff, no surprises.

The kit behind the work.

We run high-spec commercial equipment that most domestic cleaning companies don’t have access to. Here’s what that means in practice.

High-spec commercial rigs

The same equipment we use on car parks and warehouse cladding, used on domestic driveways and patios. Better results, faster turnaround, less risk of damage.

Self-contained water and power supply

We carry our own water and our own power supply. No mains connections needed. Means we can work on remote industrial sites, retail parks, and anywhere else where water or electricity isn’t available.

Cherry pickers

Roof cleaning and solar panel work done from a cherry picker. Nobody walks on your tiles. Safer for the team, safer for the property.

DOFF steam cleaning

Superheated steam at low pressure for listed buildings, heritage stonework, and delicate surfaces. Approved by the National Stone Heritage.

Low pressure steam for roofs

Moss and dirt removed without high-pressure water near your roof tiles. Biocide treatment applied to slow regrowth.

Carpet and stone floor cleaning

Carpet cleaning and deep floor cleaning for restaurants, warehouses, and industrial sites. The equipment for internal work as well as external.

Inside and out. Between us, it’s sorted.

GJB Group handles the outside. For day-to-day internal cleaning and facilities management, we work in partnership with our sister company Bee2B Cleaning. Same standards, different specialism. Between us, the full picture is covered.

Before you call.

Can you work outside business hours?

Yes. We regularly work evenings, early mornings, and weekends to fit around trading hours, production schedules, and site operations. The schedule is agreed upfront and built around when you need us there, not when it suits us.

Do you carry your own water supply?

Yes. Our equipment runs with a self-contained water supply and its own power supply, so we don’t need mains water or mains electricity on site. Industrial estates, remote car parks, building sites, retail parks. If we can get the equipment there, we can do the job.

Can you provide risk assessments and method statements?

Yes, as standard. Risk assessments, method statements, COSHH data, and insurance documentation are prepared for every commercial job. If your procurement team or FM firm needs specific paperwork, we’ll produce it.

Do you carry out internal industrial cleaning as well as external?

Yes. We handle high-level dust removal inside factories, warehouses, and industrial buildings. It’s a natural extension of the external work we do for industrial sites, and it means you can cover both under one contract with one point of contact.

Do you work with FM companies?

Yes, regularly. We understand the subcontractor relationship and we’re used to working within SLAs, reporting frameworks, and the documentation requirements that FM firms need from their supply chain.

What’s your coverage area?

Lancashire and the North West for regular work. UK-wide for larger contracts, FM work, and multi-site agreements. Get in touch and we’ll confirm whether we can cover your site.

Can you handle multi-site contracts?

Yes. If you manage several sites across a region or across the UK, we can run the cleaning schedule centrally with consistent standards at each location. One point of contact, one invoice, same level of work everywhere.
